Who we are

Victim Support (Brottsofferjouren) is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent organisation. We support anyone affected by a crime, regardless of background, and all our help is free of charge.

What we can do for you

• Someone to talk to who listens and takes you seriously
• Information about your rights and how the Swedish legal process works
• Help understanding letters from the police, prosecutor and the court
• Support before, during and after a police interview or a trial
• Information about compensation and criminal injuries compensation
• Referral to other authorities and organisations

Good to know

You do not need to have reported the crime to the police, and you may remain anonymous. All our volunteers are trained and bound by confidentiality. We can arrange an interpreter if needed.
